i’ve given a few people this link over the past few semesters and i really think it’s a valuable resource that us designers and coders out there need to have.
this is pretty much self-explanatory, so i won’t go too much into detail. i will, however, post a few links that i’ve found to be pretty valuable as well as some of my personal favorite resources:
stopdesign – throwing tables out of the window, sliding doors with css, design process revealed, confessions of a designer
fadtastic – 25 ways to improve your site in 5 minutes, accessible can be beautiful, hot tips for your 2008 website
csstidy - an online app that cleans up your messy css coding. an offline version is avaiable for download as well.
htmltidy - same as csstidy, but for html. nice for you xhtml guys out there.
psdtuts – some very decent web 2.0-style tutorials on there. some of the best photoshop tutorials i’ve seen next to topsecret’s dvd tutorials.
nettuts – from the creators of psdtuts. same unique style of psdtuts but everything web!
listutorial – some interesting web tutorials on here such as why to use a background image for your bullet points and designing nested lists.
stripegenerator – probably the most useful ajax app for you web 2.0 guys out there that hate developing your own seamless stripes.
tabgenerator – a pretty decent tab generator. i still prefer making them from scratch though.
tartan maker – i guess some people can see some use of this. don’t use tartans much though.
reflection maker – pretty cool, much faster to use this than do your reflections in actionscript if you get lazy.
