where did you buy it i want to buy everything and do it my self but radioshack dont have everything
Hey can you tell me what size the radiator is, and the exact fittings for the barbs please. The project is coming on very nice keep up the good work, i am planning on using the same waterblock but a 120mm radiator, fillport, 120mm fan, and a small 12v pump
Overclocker, I’m using the radiator that comes with the thermaltake bigwater kit. you can use whatever radiator you want as long as it fits the fitting.
I’m using g1/4 3/8″ fittings, the most common ones i think.
Thanks admin….i have only one problem, finding a pump small enough for the case…..i looked at laing pumps but they are expensive but if i cant find a alternative i will but one of those. So do you know any pumps that i can but and that can be shipped to UK. Thanks
Overclocker, try this pump

I would’ve went with this one but it was too pricey for me. I’ve seen this pump in another setup and it can fit inside the entire xbox case.
And I’m happy to report the xbox is running fine. I just need to edit the last video and upload it. Just need to find the time.
Thanks for looking mate….but thats even more expensive than the one i was looking at.

And i will be using a fillport as this saves space. i will tell you how it goes, so far ive bought a broken xbox (rrod) off ebay it comes with hdd and controller £50 and ive completely removed the original heatsink and the fans and cleaned the dust inside and today i recieved the XSPC waterblock and i installed that aswell…i was amazed by the size of that waterblock…..
May i ask when you will be uploading your next video, i would upload my video but my parts are stuck in the postal strike in the uk.
Trying to find some time hopefully after this week. Been real busy with work but I’ll definitely try my best to get it out soon.
well i got my 120mm rad today with the other parts in the post……and also my swifttech pump…..but the problem is that the tubing that i bought doesnt fit the pump……how do u think i can solve this problem and where are you going to place your radiator because its a tight sqeeze in there
unfortunately, you’re only option is to buy tubing that is the same diameter as your pump/radiator/fittings.
oh ok so the pumps fitting is 3/8 so i have to buy 3/8 hose and hope to god it fits the barbs aswell……..i am really worried about the fitings because i dont think i will be able to get everything fitting inside the case the rad is the same size as yours and there seems to be very limited space for tubing…..well once my new 3/8 inch tubing comes in i will post on here how it goes…….
Hey hows the build going on……well mine aint so good ive decicded to put the rad ontop of the case and the nossle pointing inside the case because the rad can fit inside but the problem i have is that the barb for the rad is touching the motherboard and i cant really connect the tubing to it if there is no space
my build’s already done. it’s been done for several months already.
i think you need to re-think your plumbing. there are all sorts of different fittings you can get, l-shaped, swivel, etc. if you go for the cheapest option which is a normal fitting, the tube won’t be able to reroute into different directions and obviously the tubing will need some space in order to curve without kinking. the radiator you purchased is way too big to fit inside the xbox too.
