i gave these two tutorials from psdtuts a shot and did okay i guess.
i learned from the first tutorial that i don’t have a “darker color” blend mode and that the bifurk.font file they provide you is corrupted and no other thick font will work for this tutorial. i will definitely take into consideration the technique for the grungey background for future projects though.
i learned something decent about brushes from the second tutorial that i will try and implement into a future design somehow. i never really created custom brushes of my own in the past and the second tutorial has a decent method for creating a nice abstract brush that you can use for many different applications.
it’s always good to fail at a tutorial sometimes. failure teaches man. man teaches man. failure is man’s only teacher.
