the little kid in me that grew up watching this franchise is really excited, but the older kid in me is not. i guess it’s because michael bay strayed away from the freddy’s origins and decided to give the movie the traditional hollywood horror movie treatment. i’m talking about someone who was killed by a group of people who later haunts the later generations of that same group of people…at least that’s what it looks like to me in the trailer. bay also strayed away from the goofy/cartoony deaths that the nightmare on elm street movies are loved for.
