vacation is coming up very soon for a lot of you and there is a plan in the works. we’ll be taking a trip to the miramar speed circuit with a bunch of the south bay kids, maybe the centralites and northies as well. i’d also like to get a lot of the south bay dads and uncles to come along too. here are the details…
weekends are $23 per person for 10 minutes, a safety briefing, helmet fitting and neck collar fitting. they said you need a $2 headsock that you can buy there as well.
weekdays from 11am-2pm is $21 per person. same stuff from above included + a free lunch.
good buddy of mine, elgene, has been gracious enough to let me know that they have a 2-for-1 tuesdays starting at 2pm. you can even bring in your own helmet if you have one. not sure if it has to be DOT approved or not though. that means $10.50 per person for 10 minutes + the safety briefing + helmet fitting + neck collar fitting + lunch? that’s a pretty good deal if you ask me. i’ll take two of em!
zurial, another good buddy, told me that the 10 minutes is long enough. and i quote:
“it was freaking fun”
unfortunately, he thinks the max amount of racers alloted per round is somewhere between 5-10 at the most. the track, however, takes about 42 seconds to lap. you have 10 minutes. that’s a good 10-13 laps depending on how fat you are.
they also have a mini gp package, minimum 10 people for $70. you get a practice session followed by a 10 minute qualification followed by a 10 minute semi-final and finishing up with a 10 minute final race.
so which one we doing guys?! uncle vic says sometime during the weekday and leonard said we can head over to six flags afterwards, so maybe morning?
i was just kidding about six flags btw.
