i have no idea what happened. i was simply browsing the internet when all of a sudden, the screen started to scramble up and turn a bunch of different colors. then a bunch of blocks of colors started to build up layer by layer, one on top of each other. after a restart, the thing wouldn’t boot up at all. nothing on the screen either. checked the harddrive, checked the ram. both seem to be okay. i couldn’t get access to anything else. i’m guessing it’s either faulty onboard video or the processor.
but it’s okay. i’ve had this thing since 2002 and it only cost me $250 or something like that. the dell c600. it ran it’s course years ago and i’m surprised it lasted me this long. i’ll just salvage what i can off the thing. i’ll keep the ram and harddrive and use them for other projects and a spare external harddrive for the eeepc hackintosh i have in the works.
