turns out to be only x-men origins: wolverine which isn’t too much of a disappointment. at least now i know the momentum will be kept up a little bit.
i guess it’s understandable that the hollywood labor disputes played a huge role in the lack of movies coming out for 09. it’s been rumored though that the script for ant-man and thor was near completion early this year. they’ll have to jump on the production really quickly though if they want to get those movies out by the end of 09. wolverine already began it’s production at the end of 2007.
i love how marvel studios is finally funding their own films now rather than selling rights to other studios. the spiderman films were good, but iron-man and the incredible hulk films were definitely better. marvel studios are hoping to get $34/share so if you’re a gambling person, now is the time to invest in some marvel stock.
for those of you wondering, there are a lot of mutants in the wolverine movie. deadpool, sabretooth, beak, silver fox, stryker, agent zero, gambit, the blob, cyclops and lumberjack. i believe weapon ix will be in there too. apparently he plays a big role in the 2nd-half of the movie, so that will be exciting to watch. i hate how they didn’t stay true to the whole wolverine-being-alive-for-thousands-of-years thing like in true marvel sense.
