first off, big thanks to kuya charlie and the other families that helped put this thing together. believe me when i say that everyone had a great time and there was food everywhere left and right. and also thank you for choosing a facility that has a clean bathroom.
oh and if anyone wants me to design the next party’s program, let me know. i don’t charge family, i don’t charge friends and i definitely don’t charge south bay. i’ll probably make it look something like this. i could always go for another challenge.
just a quick note, i forgot to bring my nikon d70 so these photos were taken with the phone camera. they’re still good enough for just random shots any way. i figure there were plenty of people who brought their digitals to take shots. i believe kuya charlie will be sending me the shots from southbayparty2008 since he doesn’t have any server space to store them, so i’ll upload them here when those get in.
some observations and notes from last night:
- if you are my size and xl scrubs sounds like they might fit you over the phone, they won’t. get the double.
- that bulaklak performance where they turned into a big flower was sick!
- some crazy stuff going on behind the scenes for the salakot, but they managed to pull it off twice somehow.
- jay should’ve performed something. but his presence made up for that.
- leonard should’ve performed something. but his barong made up for that.
- gabrielle andrade is a rock star. seriously, keep up the voice gabby.
- sean and nicole are like the official tinikling folk dancers.
- good job sushane with the sticks. i’m glad i had another musical partner that can handle beats.
- thanks to benny and aleone for helping us out.
- also thanks to lance for offering to substitute for me for tinikling. it was more comfortable inside compared to outside on the concrete hah.
- all of the dads and uncles did really good on their performance…to an extent hahaha.
- tatay bugarin and his serenade performance w/ kuya fabi on the guitar and mr. aquino serenading to mrs. aquino, that was classic!
- and oh yeah, kuya fabi’s other songs. those were really really good!
- the girls did good with their dance. it’s too bad there were some technical difficulties with the music though. but it’s okay, you guys are rock stars.
- i wish i could’ve seen all of the other singing performances. i really do.
- tackle football soon.
- the silent treatment is the best treatment, right jerome?
- the food was awesome. there was so much food. everyone ate throughout the night. i seriously wished i took pictures of jerome with his 10 return visits to the buffet line hahaha!
- renz dancing and milo not letting me have his balloons was the cutest!
- dancing at the end of the night when everyone else left was some of the best dancing. starting like some cha-cha line with all of the moms and titas and other kabataans was funny. i didn’t realize how big the line that i started was until i turned around haha.
- morris can always show you a good time with his dancing.
- it looks like jane’s performance thing is confirmed, almost. that makes 2 more upcoming performances for me. goodbye relaxing weekends.
- gretchel and sushane, there was a taco bell like half a mile away towards the 125. what a waste!
that’s all that comes to mind right now. if anyone has any photos that they want me to post up from the night, just send em my way and i’ll post em up.

i agree. i had SO much fun last night!!!!!! WHOOOOO!!! great cha cha line that you started!!!
oh! and for the hip-hop tinikling, i think we should start off with technologic because it has a really cool intro and then change the song in the middle of the dance to the other one i told you to listen to. it think it’d be cooooool.
