hiring only those with hacking experience

A typical support email here at work that I’ve had to send out. Apparently, this guy couldn’t reset his password because AOL automatically rejects emails coming from our server due to no Reverse DNS being setup. I’ve had to fix this, which would take effect after a day or two. In the meantime, to keep our customers happy, I’ve had to do a bit of hacking to salt, extra salt and md5 a new password for him via linux. The following is the support email as a response:

If you visit http://www.**************.com/login.php, there should be a password reset link towards the bottom. I believe AOL rejected a few of our emails lately which we have been working on fixing this past week. We’ve fixed this issue but it will take a day or two to take effect on our server. I can, however, change the email in our database to your @mac account if you wish.

Just let me know and I can do this for you. In the meantime, we’ve temporary changed your password to “test12345″ using your @aol account.

how do you know i have a @mac account?!

I know everything.

What do you think? Awesome customer support or what whatttttt?!
