gaston asked me for some advice on his e-commerce comp. after some quick changes i suggested to him, i decided to open up photoshop and roughly grid out what i would do, considering he wanted to ditch his entire “line” layout, which i thought would require much redesign since there weren’t any other graphical elements on the page other than the product images.
so i think i want to start doing these five-minute designs every now and then. i’m not even sure if there are any other five-minute design segments on any other blogs, so if i start early, perhaps i will build up those keywords enough to own the top result for “five-minute designs”.
well anyways, this is what i came up with:
so i went a little overboard. i just wanted to rough out where i thought the navigation would look good and threw in a seperate navigation bar and footer for whatever he wanted. it’d be cool to see mootools or scriptaculous in there to create a scrolling menu for those bottles. i don’t know. i think the black and gold colors work well with that layout, right?
btw, check out gaston’s blog that I just fixed. Argentimer.
