i would soooo rock this color and design. i’m not gay.

A giant spider appears in Lime Street, September 4th. Stunned onlookers stared in amazement as the 37-ton, 50ft. creature dangled above the Concourse Tower.

The massive spider is the first glimpse of the mysterious La Princess, the mechanical creature at the center of the La Machine event.

videos show individual controls for each leg.  that’s pretty creepy.

my plan of attack:

  1. purchase another 22″ samsung syncmaster
  2. install osx, perhaps 10.5.
  3. install front row
  4. install eyetv
  5. sell old toshiba tv.
  6. profit

here’s what front row does:

here’s what eyetv does:

now maybe you guys don’t understand how big this is, but with television going digital next year, you’ll be able to watch any show you want 1 week ahead of time.  you can also re-watch shows from the week before.  it’s better than any dvr or tivo setup you have.  now how much more is it going to take before you guys start thinking apple?  or at least pc with osx installed.  =P

just a little something to serve as a media center for my room…not sure if i want to go with windows media center or just playing movies straight from the file (someone tell me what to do). this desktop will basically serve me to play movies and tv shows while i work away in my room and also serve as a dvd player thanks to it’s dvd slot-loading drive. i know i know, it’s bahman’s #1 rule to not be distracted while working, but either way i’ll turn away to look at the television while working, this would actually save me some time having it run next to my other desktop. it might be pretty cool to have starcraft running in the background too and switch between work and play.

that means i need to buy another samsung 22″ syncmaster, oh no! life is tough!

my reason for selling my old harmon kardon gps is it’s lack for map updates and traffic support. well i found something slicker-looking than the harmon kardon (because it’s black) and not as fat as those ugly magellan/tomtom/garmin units. i really dig the slick interface too. one of the better ones out there in the $200-300 range for a gps unit.

the idea of this browser concept is to show the future of browsers and web interactivity that mozilla has in mind. don’t think it’s a serious thing? james garrett, the guy who invented the term ajax, is narrating the video. i think that’s serious enough.

so i ran into this video when doing my research for the tomtom one XL gps on youtube and found this video when researching the celebrity voices you can download for the unit. now this video doesn’t show exactly how the voices for the unit sound, it’s just a spoof. this video isn’t anything ground-breakingly funny or anything either. it just gave me a small chuckle and thought i should post it up for future reference.
