round 6 is coming faster than most of you think and in order to be ready for it, i need some feedback:
- kills are anywhere on the back as long as the hit was made underneath the neck and above the waist. arms and shoulders here do not count. skids also do not count. the weapon has to make a solid “thump” and land on the ground behind your target after the kill. are you guys happy with this? the majority of debates within the game stem from this issue. what do you guys think?
- photos need to be taken for the new targets and new website. the sooner i can get some shots, the better. keep in mind that you will be holding a phony “serial number” for the photo. you can either look presentable or messy.
- assassins not making kills. starting round 6, at the end of every round, 1 assassin will be eliminated from the game. this will help give assassins more incentive to actually make some effort in getting their targets because the more targets you get, the higher you get in the rankings. once all assassins with a record of 0-x are eliminated, this rule will not take effect at the end of the round. yay or nay?
- starting round 6, more stats might be recorded and displayed on the website underneath your “profile”. things like total feet, total attempts, total assassinations, total deaths, assassination assists, etc. yay or nay? any other stats you’d like to see?
- the new website. the entire background will be our profile photos laid out in a grid. each person here will have their own profile showing their stats and current state in the game. if you’re assassinated, your profile image in the background will dim and have a red x on top.
- zombie round. still need some feedback for this one. how will a zombie get his or her target? should we just do it like a normal assassination?
- any other concerns?
1. sounds good. but what if the thrown weapon hits both the arm and the back at the same time (kinda like the armpit area)?
2. sounds good
3. sounds good. so as long as you have at least one kill, you wont be dropped?
4. i think itd also be clever to add a “weapon of choice” part to the assassin profile. just a suggestion.
5. sounds good
6. sounds good. i cant really think of any other way theyd get their target.
7. itd be a good idea to really emphasize that assassins should have the legit assassin paper and not throw it away. i suggest that assassins should carry it with them in their wallet.
also, on the new website, can you post the rules? just so that the newbies and the people who forgot have a good idea of whats legal and whats not.
1. hmmmm…never had that happen before. i think it’s fair to say that would be considered a mix of a “skid” and hitting the arm, thus it not counting as a kill.
3. correct.
4. good idea. i’ll take a mental note of that…..mental note taken.
7. it would be. if we did these new assassin photos as our “targets”, they would most likely be laminated or something like that so that people would truly keep it in their wallets.
the rules are already prepped to be put on the new website. trying to think of what else can go on the new site that i might be forgetting.
it all sounds good.
clear definition of what counts as a kill is good.
as for the zombie round
what if kills were made in a different way, like you can only be within a certain distance of the target? like w/ real zombies, zombies cant kill from far away, they have to be up close.
and there cant be anyone near the target. cause if its 2 people vs 1 zombie, the 2 people have an advantage over the zombie and won’t go down that easily.
basically when the zombie kills it should be a surprise and up close. like you have to sneak up on them and attack them without them knowing you’re there.
just shooting out some ideas.
@Josh
That’s the problem though. It’s obvious that the person would have to be alone for the zombie to infect him/her, but how? The only logical way to do that is a hug from behind when the single target is alone with the rest of the zombies or something like that. Maybe the zombie has to hug the person for 3 seconds to infect them? The hugging does bring up some other issues though.
And for this method to work, the zombies would have to communicate with each other and let each other know who else is currently a zombie. But I think we had already considered this aspect to be normal for the zombie round long ago.
for the zombie mode, maybe instead of a hug, the infection could spread by putting a sticker on the target’s back? like sneak up behind when no one’s around and place the sticker on the back.
yea. basically when you make a kill, you inform them of all the people who are already zombies.
you don’t have to hug them, you can just do a normal hit to the back or something.
like a short range hit to their back could work, and long range shots wouldn’t count. (cause zombies only have a short range of attack)
…or we could always do jeff’s sneak attack. lol
hmmmm….that short range attack might work out. the 7-foot rule would have to be in effect too. in this case, it would be the opposite of the assassin game where people are trying to get closer.
THEN do jeff’s sneak attack =P
If we kill someone outside a restaurant and that person is next to a window with people inside, does that count as a kill? or do they have to be 7 feet away also?
Wouldn’t count….7 feet away from anyone.
Same goes for if the person was by a bathroom door and someone was inside the bathroom at the time of the kill, as long as that person can prove he was within 7 feet of someone, it won’t count.
didn’t we talk about that at morris’ house and decide a kind of closed-room rule.
like basically if there was anyone within 7 feet of you and could see you(the victim) then the assassination attempt wouldn’t count.
i believe sean had an example that had to do with a supermarket. like if you were in one aisle and got assassinated, but there was someone in the aisle next to you, within 7 feet of you, but couldn’t see you. then the assassination still counts.
@josh
ohh yeah I think we did. well we could do it that way too. which way would you guys prefer? both ways actually have good arguments so we could go either way.
i like the idea of a closed room rule.
kills have to be made from at least 7 feet away.
there can be nobody within 7 feet and can see the victim.
windows won’t count as a boundary because you can see through them.
doors don’t count if they’re open.
walls count as long as it completely separates the victim and anyone nearby.
something like that.
